ALOHA Mind Math Junior teaches basic arithmetic to 5-12 year-old children. The focus of the class is our innovative Abacus Methodology. Using this tool, your child will learn how to visualize numbers, so that they can quickly perform mental arithmetic that ordinary children can’t even do on paper.
The visualization facilitated by the abacus triggers the right hemisphere of your child’s brain. While often ignored in traditional teaching methods, it’s our right brains that supercharge our capacity to learn and perform calculations with both speed and accuracy.
The ALOHA method of arithmetic calculation fits seamlessly into their school curriculum, and will give your child a significant advantage of their peers.
Aloha Core Math
ALOHA Core Math is a supplemental math course for students in grades 3 to 6 that uses a U.S. based systematic curriculum to help students learn, reinforce, and retain the core skills needed for success in mathematics. Each student starts with our proprietary Placement Test, and based on those results we recommend a starting level that is appropriate for that student. Some of the key benefits include:
Students learn to think critically rather than memorize math
Personalized, small group instruction so students can learn at their own pace
Improve long-term retention and application
Reinforce key concepts and advance ahead
English Reading & Writing
ALOHA Reading | Writing is an after school language arts program designed for children ages 5-12.
We help your child build the writing skills that are so critical in their academic career. We also work with them to develop correct grammar usage and strong reading comprehension. As part of our rigorous training, we help our students to develop their creative writing skills and to learn various sentence constructions and techniques.
ALOHA’s small class sizes ensure that your child gets the personal attention and in-depth teaching they need to fulfill their potential and set them up for educational success.
If any of the above programs doesn't fit your child needs, reach out for discussing if a private one-on-one tutoring will be suitable for your child.
